Stylised Crates

Over the past week, I have been working on these stylised wooden crates, as part of my journey to learn about stylised modelling. I've improved my 3D modelling skills by switching to ZBrush for the sculpting. As such, this is my first set of props produced using ZBrush. Improvements were also made to my texturing workflow in Substance 3D Painter. In my previous work, the stylised low-poly barrel, I used only the curvature map to apply a colour gradient to make the wood texture. However, in these props, I expanded a lot further by adding more detail to the wood veins and the edges of the model, as well as a subtle degree of grunge imperfections .

ZBrush: Sculpting of the high-poly mesh
Marmoset Toolbag: Presentation renders, mesh map baking
